Jennifer Rose & Joseph Vincent Musicaro
Of Harmonia Equestrian

Joseph Vincent Musicaro is a United States Navy combat veteran and a two-time equestrian business and farm owner. Alongside his wife, Jennifer Rose Musicaro, a lifelong equestrian with 35 years of experience, Joseph specializes in starting, gentling, and retraining horses at Harmonia Equestrian, one of their farms. Together, they have successfully worked with hundreds of horses, including bridleless riding, gentling wild or feral horses, and retraining horses with aggression or trauma. Joseph focuses on horses with behavioral challenges and wild horses, while Jennifer specializes in liberty work, finishing, trick training, and brideless riding. Their combined expertise has allowed them to retrain former rodeo bucking horses, helping them achieve calmness, trust, and reliability. Their work has taken them from movie premieres on Broadway—walking horses through the bustle of Times Square—to high-end shopping center commercials in Washington, D.C. Joseph proposed to Jennifer during a live demo at Kentucky Horse Park, an event featured in Sidelines magazine. In competition, Joseph was the 2023 Adult Champion of the Maryland Mustang Challenge, placing first in all classes after training a horse that had spent just over one month out of the wild. He was also a featured clinician at the 2024 Horse World Expo in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, sharing his expertise in feral horse training. Jennifer and her daughter Reagan (14) showcased bareback and brideless riding at the Expo. Both mother and daughter earned titles at the 2024 Devils Gardens Mustang Challenge—Jennifer as Adult Champion and Reagan as Mare-in-Foal Champion. Jennifer also achieved Overall Open Show Highpoint Champion at the 2024 Maryland Mustang Mission Open Show. 2025 was another remarkable year: • Jennifer continued her championship streak as Adult Champion in the Riding Division at the Maryland Mustang Extravaganza. • Joseph mentored Reagan in training a wild Mustang, which went on to become Youth Champion of the 2025 Mustang Extravaganza after just 50 days of training, far less than the year-long preparation of other competitors. • Joseph also successfully trained a particularly challenging horse that had never been handled or ridden before and had been exhibiting threatening posture and lunging toward people, making the barn owner and workers hesitant to enter its field. Within seven hours, Joseph had ridden and tamed the horse safely, demonstrating exceptional skill, patience, and horsemanship under high-risk conditions. Once again, mother and daughter stood together as champions, while Joseph’s expertise allowed him to manage one of the most challenging horses of the year—a testament to the family’s dedication, teamwork, and exceptional horsemanship. Together, Joseph, Jennifer, and Reagan continue to combine training expertise, showmanship, and passion to transform challenging horses into reliable partners while inspiring the equestrian community.
